WHAT IS NEW MEXICO ARTS?
New Mexico Arts is the state arts agency and a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs. Its primary function is to provide financial support and technical assistance or arts services and programs to non-profit organizations statewide and to administer the 1% public art program for the state of New Mexico.
Other programs include the Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts, New Mexico Fiber Arts Trails, New Mexico Arts and Cultural Districts, American Masterpieces, and Poetry Out Loud. New Mexico Arts provides administrative support for the New Mexico Music Commission.

We are located on the second floor, southwest corner, of the Bataan Memorial Building, just west of the Capitol. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
