Community-based Arts Trail Development

New Mexico Arts provides funding for community-based arts trails. Arts trail organizations have received grants for arts trail start-up activities or for further development and promotion of existing trails. Trails that have received grants are listed here.

  • Ancient Way Arts Trail - This multidisciplinary trail runs from Grants, through Ramah, Zuni, and Gallup.

  • Artistic Vistas and Treasures  - A project of the Art Up New Mexico, this multidisciplinary trail encompasses sites from Cimarron to Eagle Nest and Angel Fire to Ocate and Taos Canyon.

  • Southeastern New Mexico Fiber Arts Trail - The Southeastern NM Fiber Arts Trail stretches from Tatum to Jal over to Carlsbad. This is the only Fiber Arts Trail in this part of the state.
  • Southwest New Mexico Clay Trail - The Southwest New Mexico Clay Trail, currently being developed, will traverse Catron, Grant, Hidalgo, and Luna counties and will feature sites of clay-related artists, artisans, and activities.
