2014 - Navajo TIME: Coyote Canyon

We are working on some exciting things here in New Mexico. Our TIME (Temporary Installations Made for the Environment) 2014 project, TIME @ Coyote Canyon is an expansion of our unique partnership with Navajo Nation that we started in 2012. June 2014 will see the inaugural opening of what we plan on becoming a new biennial temporary public art installation event in Navajo Nation. We are even more excited that to kick off this new biennial event Ai Weiwei is collaborating with Navajo artist Bert Benally to create a public installation in Coyote Canyon, New Mexico. The installation will be followed with a July 2014 opening at the Museum of Contemporary Native Art in Santa Fe. This project brings together nations (Navajo Nation, United States, and China) and is an invitation to the art world to come and experience a site-specific art work that is generated through cultural exchange originating in one of the most remote areas of the world.
